Newbie questions.

I got Pixel 9 with Graphene Os installed.
What I have in mind is to have a main(Owner) account with no third party apps installed, while another work/travel(Non Owner) account with the following:

Translators (Web-based, downloadable-useoffline models)
Brave browser
Express VPN or another recommended VPN
Signing in Google play, and youtube
Tethering hotspot to my other phones
Google Maps
Pokemon Go(Optional)

My question is, if I do these in my Non-Owner account, does switching back to my owner account stop them from running in my background? Or is it absolutely not recommended at all?
I don't mind some of those apps collecting my data when I am actively using them, since it adds for convenience. But I do want them off when I am not.. does switching between 2 accounts help?

in the user profile setting / where you create a user/ you can for profiles turn running in the background on /off.

Depending on that, when you end your session, they are running/ nit running in the background

Not really sure what a tathering hotspot is,
but wifi hotspot is not a per profile thing and does not use vpn aswell, just so you know

HeroHunter If all you care about is preventing apps running in the background, it would be a lot easier to use a private space. It's simpler than switching profiles, and when you close your private space, any apps within it can no longer run.

If you do decide to go with a separate profile, there is a setting you can enable to entirely prevent the secondary profile from loading in the background.

HeroHunter Express VPN or another recommended VPN

Express VPN, Private Internet Access, CyberGhost and a few others are all owned by a sketchy company whose VPNs have been known to be insecure and sometimes even malicious. Please do yourself a favor and use a VPN from a reputable company like Mullvad or IVPN. If you can't afford a paid VPN use Proton. Also, NordVPN pays huge sums of money to appear on "best VPN" reviews and it shouldn't be trusted.

dhhdjbd it is essentially hotspot. sharing wifi (in this case: from graphene phone) with another device (Phones or computers) so they can use the graphene phone's internet plan to access internet.
This way I can use one sim card with a great data plan to be shared among multiple phones, may not be good for battery though.

A lot of phones usually just say 'Tethering Hotspot' as same option.

NoahRaketic Well the reason I didn't use private space is because.... I didn't know about it. (Facepalm)
I need to look into it.

They used to have a very convenient IBAN which accepted payments with your account id in the transfer reason.
This was useful only if you were ok on giving them your identity, ofc.

Right now they accept online payments in several ways, plus cryptos, plus cash emailed via post.
