We don't know if, and/or how this conflicted with your setup in other ways, which makes it hard to help you out. Some of developer options can be reversed by just switching the whole panel off, while some will stay. Some will alter the normal settings even after turning the specific dev option off, some will not. None of the Developer options will give you any warnings about their secondary effects, and these effects are also changing unpredictably when your OS gets updated.
Enabled Developer options= When scary signs occur just backup important data then Factory reset. Then keep those settings OFF, and no Adb. Your device should also be auto-updated.
