Hey, why cant users add their own filterlists yet?
I've seen a couple threads on this forum about this and the reason always seems to boil down to fingerprinting of some sort, however, Vanadium still exposes a lot of fingerprintable information compared to for eg. Brave. I have only tested this on coveryourtracks so maybe trusting it is an incorrect assumption?
There are also some fingerprinting vectors which provide a better experience when hiding, specifically dark mode with the use of custom filters i.e. by spoofing light mode and having trusted-set-cookie/local-storage-item/session-storage-item to enable dark mode on a per site basis even when the browser is set to wipe all data on close.
I find that especially on mobile devices annoyance lists are almost as important to make browsing the web not severely painful.
