If the argument is "everything ends up in a landfill eventually" then wouldn't it be best to make use of what we have for the longest time possible, so as to decrease the amount of things we use that will ultimately end up in a landfill...? Which would also reduce the carbon cost of manufacturing goods at such break neck speed.
Are the future generation supposed to inherit the waste we create? Shouldn't we leave the planet in a better state than we found it?
