Which Pixel is likely bootloader unlockable? UK or Canada?

Hi, I would appreciate the help! I can't buy the Pixel 10 Pro XL from Google directly, so I have to rely on local third party stores in Asia who don't accept returns after opening the box.

Both are carrier unlocked, but I don't know if the bootloader is.

I contacted two stores that provided IMEI1's for me to check online and one store had a Canadian version, and the other a UK version:

Does "Not for resale" and "Not previously activated" under "Device status" matter here? Also, the sellers don't know what bootloader unlocked means so I can't get a confirmation. Thanks!

Lander the bootloaders arrive locked on all Pixels. You're looking for one that is OEM unlocked.

Lander Personally I would stay away from the "not for resale" device. If something goes wrong, I would not expect Google to support it (or even firmly expect a repair shop to be able to repair it).

OEM unlockable, not OEM unlocked :)
Can also look for “factory unlocked” (not carrier/network unlocked), which means a model that wasn't carrier/network locked from the factory, which means it should be OEM unlockable.

I don't know how relevant it is when shopping internationally. You might want to look where the seller is located at, rather than the origin country of the model.

Vincent96 Aha! Does any of the information I provided help with being able to make a better decision towards picking the one that's more likely to be OEM unlocked? Is one of the 2 countries historically more likely to OEM lock devices?

My P8p has Country of purchase: UNITED KINGDOM. It came with OEM unlocking...

Lander I just bought my Pixel 10 Pro XL from ebay and it let me install GOS. If it didn't I would return it.

Carriers are the ones who lock the phones, not governments. I havent heard country of origin to be correlated. Make sure you're buying one that isnt/wasn't associated with a particular carrier, you should be fine
