Disaster apps, Solar weather apps.

Im looking for recommendations on some apps in those categories that are privacy respecting, and/or that some level of privacy can be forced via GrapheneOS settings.
Just tried to use FEMA app, but cant get the keyboard (theirs) to respond to my typing to enter my zipcode or any zipcode as my "location". My Florisboard works everywhere else on phone that I kno of. Dunno how to play with settings to fix.
Just tried to the "Foss Warn" but it says i have "No Push Distributor found". Wtf? I do have several home security apps that do require push services via Google Play Services, and they do run correctly. The app requires I installing one. It recommends NFTY, but as I look into it, it requires changing default server, and as I dont understand the implications of that, its beyond my understanding.
Re the Solar weather app, I want alerts for bad solar storms, CME's and the like. It used to be the Carrington app" but the owner seems to have abandoned it and its not working well anymore. Plus their privacy policy is a Disaster itself.
So any recommendations for those 2 classes of apps, which have some measure of privacy protection?

Breezy Weather (https://github.com/breezy-weather/breezy-weather) will push NWS weather alerts. You don't have to give the app location permissions, just add location by city and give network access. Highly customizable widget, very cool. Any other warnings you're looking for from the FEMA app? Can't help on the solar part, sorry.

Use foss warn, it's good, apart from that (at least I haven't yet found a way to set it properly) you can select rectangles instead of exact administrative entity, so you will get double-notifications from geographical neighbors who you had to include into your rectangle. Use NTFY, especially if you're up to other foss apps that supports unifiedpush. I don't have Google's fcm so have no other option.
