Android Auto update loop / Version out of date on GrapheneOS

Hi everyone,
I've been using Android Auto daily without any issues until about 10 days ago. Now, I am unable to use it because the app is requesting a mandatory update.
However, I'm stuck in a bit of a loop:
Play Store: It recognizes the app but won't allow the update (showing the "app didn't come from Google Play" warning).
GrapheneOS Apps Store: No update is currently available there to match the version required by Google.
Since Android Auto is essential for my daily commute, I was wondering if anyone else is facing this right now? Does the team have an ETA on when the latest build will be pushed to the GrapheneOS repository?
Device info:
Model: Pixel 10 Pro XL
OS Build: 2026012101
Sandboxed Google Play Services installed.

Are you saying that you cannot use Android Auto at all? Even after dismissing the update notification?

It works fine for me. I've only noticed the update notification appear after unplugging/disconnecting from Android Auto and even then I can dismiss it and have no issues

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I managed to solve the problem; fortunately, it was just a permission issue within the app settings. Even without the update, it is now working perfectly fine. I will delete this post now to keep the forum clear. Thanks again!

@tamassint Android Auto update was released to Stable: just received it a few hours ago.

tamassint Ahh no don't delete the post, glad I found this, I have the same issue and I've been wondering how much I should worry about it, because I can't update in the play store or the app store that comes with graphene. So, good to know!

@AtHeartEngineer anytime there is a notification showing "Update Android Auto" it simply means that Google has released a new version of AA thatcwill soon be available to us once the GrapheneOS devs test the update for comparability issues/bugs and then release it to us via the GrapheneOS App Store.

Until then, there is nothing you can do but ignore and swipe away the annoying notification. Android Auto will continue to work fine

I'm getting an issue where since my AA isn't the latest version in the play store the AA will not launch at all.

wanderinggander88 interesting. I constantly get the update notification but I can still use AA

I did notice on my Subaru it worked before a trip. But during a trip withba rental ford it refuses to connect while showing the notification.
