monsieurbones fresh GOS install phone was working fine for a few days. did a reboot and now screen is unresponsive. tried to get into fastboot to do a fresh install but i cant get to the oem unlock setting on the phone to unlock bootloader.
de0u monsieurbones Does "screen is unresponsive" mean that the screen doesn't display things, or that the touchscreen sensor doesn't register touches, or ...?
de0u monsieurbones I can see everything on the screen, the touchscreen doesnt register touches. Does the fingerprint sensor respond? What if the device is powered off completely for an hour?
monsieurbones de0u turned it off completely for a few hours to be sure. still having the same issue. i cant test if the fingerprint sensor is working because the screen isnt responding to touch and i need to pin unlock it every new bootup.
de0u monsieurbones If the touchscreen sensor has failed and the USB-C port isn't set to allow connections BFU, then unfortunately there isn't a way in except replacing the touchscreen sensor. That may or may not result in the device being wiped.
monsieurbones de0u yeah i figured as much, i wanted to wipe the data off the phone and see if i could get warranty to replace it. thank you for the help.
de0u monsieurbones It should be possible to get into Recovery and wipe the device without using the touchscreen.
Polar Have you tried to enter your PIN "as if the the touchscreen was responsive" ? I also have a 9a and I don't see anything when I enter my PIN but it's good when I validate it and all is normal after the PIN validation.
