usb-c drive not detected

Hi,
I'm trying to connect a usb-c memory stick to my P9 pro.
GrapheneOS doesn't detect the device when it's plugged in. Is this some kind of security feature? Do I need to enable something in Settings?

Also, clean both the port and the connector on the drive with electric appliances cleaner, or WD40, use a magnifying glass, and non-conductive poking device (I use sharpened wooden toothpicks for this)
Test with a different cable
Reboot if not in a while.

I think I found the culprit. It was the fs on the usb stick that wasn't recognized by GrapheneOS.

by Google AOSP (as any other mainstream Android, I guess).
I don't think GOS has anything to do with that.

I did this on all my external harddrives a while ago, they indeed became compatible with my P6a regardless of size.
