Signal Group Video call

Hey guys,

Group video calls on signal do not seem to work. P9PXL device. 1-1 calls and video calls work fine.

Tried to disable exploit protection as well but same result.

The calls do not ring for other group members and neither do I get notifications as well.

Anyone else faced/facing similar issues?

nobody78 Does this issue occur on multiple networks (e.g., cellular, public Wi-Fi, home Wi-Fi) or on just one network?

I could be wrong, but as I understand it in Signal world it's actually not "a traditional call", hence it doesn't ring. It's more like people can choose to connect during a group video conference. Like in a Zoom meeting. I always had this issue when someone starts a group video chat and then sends a message for others to join the video.

thmf interesting, I wasn't aware of this. Keeping this in mind, checked again and can't connect.

Did you ever find a solution for the zoom issue?

nobody78 No, all the people I use it with just accepted the fact it works like this, so we just send a message to the group chat to join the "video conference" and everybody in the group chat hits the "video" button. No calls. Annoying/confusing, but it's exactly the same with any video conference software. Just took a while to actually realize it's not a video call, but a "video meeting".

Commenting here to see if else is facing this issue and has been able to find a solution.

Tried suggestions on the post but nothing seems to work.

Other parties who join or initiate a signal group call using stock android or iOS do not have any similar issues, so confused on how to fix this.
