I'm trying to connect my Pixel 9a to a monitor which supports USB-C. The monitor detects the connection but I get a notification on my phone that it couldn't mirror to the display and that I should try a different cable. I'm using the cable that came with the phone, which is in perfect condition (i.e. I've used it like 2 times) and works fine for charging at least. I have 2 theories as to what's happening:
- The cable simply doesn't have the bandwidth to support mirroring (maybe it's charge-only?). This seems unrealistic given that OEMs usually include very high quality cables with data support.
- Perhaps the USB protection is messing something up? I've set it to charging-only while locked, but maybe that causes problems even though my phone is unlocked.
Has anyone had the same problem?
