Installing esim

I am about to install an esim on a pixel 9a. I have read the following:

However, in order to manage and add eSIMs, proprietary Google functionality is needed. This is fully disabled by default.

Does this mean I have to allow all the permissions to Play Store and to Google Play service? Or only network?

I am in Europe.

Dboy I am confused because I can not see "add an esim" so I do not know how to scan the QR code...

Don't need to touch GPservices permissions.
At the same page you saw the info that eSIM support is disabled by default (https://grapheneos.org/usage#esim-support) there are instructions how to enable it.

Please note, that after flipping the support the phone will suggest to reboot - do it.
