What's up with play integrity API?

GmsCompat notified me that WhatsApp used the Play integrity API and I got options there to tick, untick.

Do I leave it default, can I change some? I suppose other apps do this as well, is it purely informatioal?

Hi,

For me is very normal to WhatsApp to check play integrity, sometimes almost everyday other times with more time in between (weeks or months).

I am not a tech guy, but as for me I let it as default, WhatsApp very easy bans accounts with grapheneos as I read in this forum, so I try not to give them the excuse by changing things that make my account different or suspicious to be a bot.
