AcclaimSublevel19 sorry, you're right, one can't disable system/core apps via GFL and play store is not one of them on GOS (the problem I've mentioned is from Samsung's world).
Anyway, as the only way to properly share GOS with another person is to share Owner profile (otherwise thay can't use the device after a reboot and suffer from other limitations of non-owner), GFL still doesn't allow to properly block only parts of different apps (which timelimit.io allows via activities), so you can allow some phone settings (text size, etc) but block others relevant to unintentional device reset or pin change, etc.
For example, as I use rethinkdns app with wireguard, I block modification of app settings, but allow access to app home screen to perform start/stop if necessary via the big button (btw, thanks @ignoramous for properly setting up basic activities to make it possible).
Location is still working better for me via FMD (BeaconDB, OpenCellID) as it's way faster and more robust for quick approximate location check without waiting for GPS (GPS coordinates are also shared but with expected delay).
And it all comes with completely google-free infrastructure. But yep, ggl takes one's data in exchange for 99.99 availability of servers (not gfl services itself, as I quite often had problems with location and forcing limitation updates on different devices). The choice is always yours to make.
