Pixel 9 PRO fold stops recognizing SIM

Since a couple of days I have a very annoying problem. De Pixel 9 PRO Fold stops recognizing my SIM. Only solution seems a reboot. After that it's working again, but not for very long.
Therefore, it seems software related. Any idea what could be the problem here?

Did you try to deactivate and reactivate the sim instead of a reboot?
Maybe you can save time.

By the way, I got this in the past and it happened only when I had my smartphone connected to the wifi without any sim activity.
Is it the same scenario?
