Grok and X app both won't let me sign in on Pixel 10 (franke)

Hi,

saw there's a thread from a few weeks ago where another user was having the exact same issue I'm experiencing right now.

I subscribe to X Premium, and I sign in to both the X app and the Grok app using my X account. On my new Pixel 10 (frankel) device, I currently cannot sign in to either app at all.

Is there any meaningful news or updates about this problem?
Does anyone know why it's happening?
Is there a proper working solution yet?
If not, is a fix actually in the works, and if so, when might we expect it?

I really need to use this for work, so any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried running them with exploit protection compatibility mode turned on?

Yeah, I tried that and it didn't work.

Strangely enough, creating a passkey for my X account in Firefox allowed me to sign in using pass keys, but every other option does not work.

I had the same issue with X. I run it in a browser (Brave). At least it will work.

I run both as PWA, which I can recommend. You actually gain features (especially in Grok) compared to the app versions. This is true for most services. I've ditched plenty of "apps" recently.

NB: depending on the browser you're running the PWAs through you might experience issues with push notifications. Unfortunately, this currently also includes Vanadium.

For me, the trade-off was worth it. YMMV.
