NFC Tile pulsing on/off since update

Since update to 2026011001, the NFC tile pulses on and off, approx 1second on, 1 second off. This has never happened before. NFC is normally permanently off and unused. Airplane mode is permanently on. When I go to NFC through settings, nothing is shown on the NFC page, just the NFC title at top.
Main profile.
No relevant settings changes or app installs recently.

How do I turn this off and ensure it stays off permanently?

...It's still blinking at me, every time I access the quick-settings tiles.

Anyone else have this happening or have any ideas what is causing it?

Have you tried rebooting? Could be a glitch.

AcclaimSublevel19 Thanks. Yes, I rebooted and also did full power-downs several times over the last few days, but no difference.

Having said that, I switched to the only other profile (outside of 'work' & 'private'). The tile was 'off' (normal). I cycled the tile a few times. After switching back to the main profile the NFC tile had stopped blinking.
An hour later it's still ok... fingers crossed....
