Long GNNS lock on Pixel 10 pro

While testing GMAP, I noticed long GNNS lock time (minutes). I ensured that I had good internet connectivity, PSDS was available and SUPL too.

Additionally, the "compass" that is typically represented on GMAP by a small blue cone oriented in the forward device's alignment is not present.

Any ideas on fixing these issues ?

This is an easy fix: grant "sensor" permission to GMS.

As far the long lock times, though, that's a little puzzling given that you've got PSDS and SUPL enabled. Do you have Network Location enabled?

I tried giving the sensor permission, removing it, enabling it again, relaunching, force stopping, rebooting etc. GMAP wasn't showing the compass.
I ended resetting data and cache, this did the trick.

Regarding the long lock time, using the network helps, if you are not in the middle of the desert.
