Hard to say before it's released, or at least announced. There may not be any clear technical advantages. The main benefit is having an alternative in case future Pixels don't meet the project's requirements. A major secondary benefit for many people is to be able to use GrapheneOS without buying a device from Google.

Probably9857 I will buy that phone even it's not what I exactly expected. I'd prefer to give my money to Graphene rather than Google and help the project. It's also really nice to have an alternative and be free from Google Hardware.

In case you misunderstand, the money you spend on this future device will go to the OEM, not GrapheneOS.

Buying it will help GrapheneOS indirectly by demonstrating a demand for such devices, and encouraging the OEM to continue and expand the collaboration.
