How can I defend myself from banking apps?

Hi, I've already posted a thread on PrivacyGuides forum and I was told to try here to post here as well.

Basically, I’m in a tough situation because I’m currently looking to switch my banks. I’ve found this new bank that operates solely through an app (Isybank, which is compatibile with GoS) and that requires to give some data up, I.e. the IMEI of my phone (as shown in the picture).

Right now I’m using a Pixel 8a with Graphene OS installed. I am aware that using a custom ROM may give me some problems in the future due to the Integrity API.

My current banking app is a privacy nightmare anyway but I don’t think it has access to my IMEI. Would GrapheneOS defend me from this kind of data collection?

User installed apps won't be allowed to access your IMEI.

The statement about collecting info on device identifiers is probably in reference to older versions of android where it was possible to do this, but modern versions of android protect this info behind READ_PRIVILEGED_PHONE_STATE

look into local credit unions in your area - this is something i'm doing myself currently

of course the other option is to not use a banking app at all and physically visit your bank/credit union when necessary - i honestly don't understand why people use banking apps at all but perhaps there may be a necessary reason i'm not aware of

I am old school, i use pin calculator from any browser and i have used this over 19 years already. Banks that offer pin calculator would be best if you want avoid those apps.
