Special access to hardware accelerators for Google apps

If I go Settings > Apps > Special app access > Special access to hardware accelerators for Google apps it is set to ON. Does this need to be on? I use zero Google apps or services on my phone. Just found this setting today and I don't know if I need it.

Probably no if you have no google applications.
To the bes of my knowledge graphene os does not ship any google applications by default.

The only app I know for sure that needs the special access permission is Google Camera if you want to use it instead of the default GOS one for significantly better photos (at least in my use a while back). It can be used privately if you don't give it network permissions, give no other Google apps network permissions within the profile, and don't have Google Play Services in that profile. If the GOS camera app works for you though, good on you for not using any Google apps.

ZeppelinAmenity thanks. Yep, I'm 100% degoogled. Zero (Google) apps. Zero (Google) accounts. Zero (Google) services. I need Google for nothing in my day to day life, so I have absolutely no need for anything Google. My Owner Profile is 100% FOSS, and besides that I have maybe like 4 apps total that I need in a different profile that I installed from Aurora Store. Its crazy how I went from stock Android and everything Google, to GrapheneOS and nothing Google. I was so surprised, amazed, and happy that FOSS apps have replaced everything that I used to use, and they meet or exceed my expectations. And the default camera works great for me, so I'll go ahead and turn that setting off now! ;)
