Pixel 8 Pro: Wi-Fi scan empty (no networks) after clean install

Hi everyone,

I am running into a persistent Wi-Fi issue on my Pixel 8 Pro running the latest GrapheneOS.

The Issue:
The Wi-Fi toggle is ON, but the network list remains completely empty. No SSIDs are detected.
In Settings > Internet, the status just shows "Wi-Fi" but no networks appear.

Timeline & Symptoms:

I initially had connectivity issues (IP address unavailable).

I performed a full clean install using the Web Installer (flashing factory images) to rule out configuration errors.

Immediately after the first boot, I saw the Wi-Fi networks list correctly.

Shortly after, the list went blank again, and I haven't been able to see any networks since.

Troubleshooting attempted:

Full factory reset/reinstall via Web Installer.

Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth settings.

Disabled "Turn on Wi-Fi automatically" and "Turn off Wi-Fi automatically".

Enabled "Wi-Fi scanning" in Location services.

Multiple reboots (including "Cold boot" by powering off completely for 30s).

Is this a known driver state issue on the Pixel 8 Pro? Is there a way to force a driver reset without another wipe?

bwvd5 Is this true in one location, or also true at a coffee shop or library?

Honestly it sounds as if the Wi-Fi hardware may have quit. If so, flashing back to Google's stock OS would presumably confirm.

de0u Hi. I've tryed at home and at my office.

I've also tryed to get back with a Stock OS. It wasn't working until now either, and when I turned it back on earlier, I saw that the Wi-Fi networks were displayed. So I reinstalled GOS, and I have the problem again.

If Wi-Fi was erratic on the stock OS, it may just be erratic independent of which OS is installed.

If the Wi-Fi works flawlessly on the stock OS for three days in a row, but doesn't work for GrapheneOS, that would be interesting. But if the Wi-Fi fails even a little bit for the stock OS then I'm afraid it's a hardware problem.

What is meant by a "cold reset"?

What's your OS version?
Turn off your phone and then wait for 30 seconds. Then turn it on. This should solve it
