Hey all. I was on grapheneOs on my pixel 7, when suddenly it started bootlooping while I was watching a video. It loads "not a recognized device" screen and Google logo, and then again restarts by itself.
I let it drain it's power, and then connected it to PC with official cable. I went into fastboot and tried restarting, then recovery mode, and then rescue mode, but it keeps bootlooping.
Then I thought of reinstalling grapheneOs, but webUsb installer fails because bootloader couldn't be unlocked. This makes sense because OEM unlocking was disabled when I first installed Graphene OS as the regular procedure.
So, as a final resort, I tried installing vanilla stock android by going to pixelrepair.withgoogle.com, but here it says to go into rescue mode, which as I said earlier also causes bootloop.
So, finally having exhausted all my options, I have come here. Ideally would have liked to preserve my data, but that doesn't seem likely. Would just like my Pixel to be functional again at this point. I will be grateful for any help.
Maybe this is relevant context: but it had a hardware issue a couple of months ago which required motherboard level repair. I really hope it's not beyond saving. I spent a lot of time and money on the repair, so hoping it's salvageable.
