I'm a bit confused about this till date, I both want to limit Google data collection, but I also don't fight the autocracy (yet?) to be psychotic enough to make my phone a living nightmare, an unquality of life.
So in the end I let play services and maps and youtube to run nearly free on my gos device, as I kind of want less data collection to the point where everything day-to-day is useable (I tried YT and Gmaps/Waze alternatives, it's just too hardcore and sad for me).
