Bootloop after Update

Hi, When my phone reboots after the installation of an OTA update it gets stuck in a bootloop, showing the grapheneos logo with the animation. I was able to get it to work again by doing hard reboots until it booted up. That seems to be the version before the update so it automatically tries to update again which has the same effect of a bootloop. I managed to disable the updater app so I can use the phone but any reboot still throws it in a bootloop even without trying to update. I tried to update it via computer (during this the phone says its already in the middle of an update, if I want to do it anyway, I click yes) and bootloop again. Is there anything I could try to solve this issue? Its usable like this but I dont want to run outdated software.

Is the 'Automatic reboot' On, or Off?

Thank you for your reply. I'm on 2025112101. I don't have another android phone right now but i'm gonna check that later. Automatic reboot is off and I disabled the updater entirely for now so I can use my phone. Does the auditor also check for corrupted firmware?

Yes.

The Auditor app uses hardware-based security features to validate the identity of a device, along with the authenticity and integrity of the operating system. It ensures the device is running a verified operating system with a locked bootloader and that no tampering has occurred. Auditor will also detect a downgrade to a previous operating system, patch, or app version. Auditor extends the hardware-based operating system verification by chaining verification to the app, performing software-based sanity checks, and gathering additional information about the device state and configuration beyond what hardware attestation directly provides.

Note that if you've never used Auditor on that device before, you'll need to verify it twice. The first time its going to be yellow (or orange, can't remember) and that is normal. It is the second time you Audit the device that is the correct one.

Thank you for your replies again. I just tried sideloading the update again and this time it worked for some reason. I dont know what solved it but I will try the auditor soon anyway just to be safe. Is there some way to mark this as solved? I dont see a button for it

No, just wait for a moderator to come along and mark it as solved. :) I really do think that the "solved" tag should be available to the OP of threads though, so that they can mark their post as solved when its figured out.
