Wifi Calling randomly turning off by itself

Ever since I installed Graphene about 4 months ago, I have had an issue where Wifi Calling turns itself off. It only happens once every few weeks or maybe once a month.

For example, today when I pulled it off the charger in the morning I noticed the Wifi Calling badge in the top left of the lock screen is gone. Wifi itself is still active. When I try to make a call (wifi on- mobile off) it won't let me. When I checked the toggle for Wifi Calling it is still in the correct position.

If I restart the phone or toggle Wifi Calling, it turns back on again.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this at will and it happens very randomly and sporadically. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

This can be DHCP bugs in some inexpensive consumer routers that behave poorly with lots of different MAC addresses. What tickles this is the MAC randomisation that's enabled by default in GrapheneOS. The simple thing to try is change from the default "Use per-connection randomized MAC" to "Use per-network randomized MAC" for the Wi-Fi network where you're observing the issue.

Since you can't reproduce, it's going to take a while to see if this helps or not.
