So I know Graphene already has strong resistance to cellebrite systems that the fucking cops use. But I came across an app on f-droid or Izzy. I have both repositories set so check both for the app. It's called "Rebooter." You can set it to force a reboot into zero state mode? I think that's what it's called. The first boot sequence when the pin isn't in the memory yet. You can set a variety of instances that trigger it.

It works either by being rooted or being turned into a system app. Turning it into a system app is something I don't know how to do yet. But I really need to get this working. As a cop watcher I can't just turn my phone off when the cops show up you know? I have to keep filming. But with this app I have a backup if they do make it into my phone past Graphene in its basic lock state. I can use the filming camera without unlocking the device. So I won't be caught with it unlocked. But if they get through Graphene, as soon as it detects a USB host device, it reboots and I'm not making this shit up.... you can make it say "1312 sequence initiatiated." Seriously.

Is there an article that shows how to convert it into a system app through ADB somewhere? I know shizuku would but that would open me up way worse and would no longer even be considered graphene.

The USB-C port data lines are disabled by default on GrapheneOS while the device is locked. You can even disable the whole port completely, while unlocked too.

The feature you described is a harmful anti-security feature (security theater) that doesn't provide any benefit.

As you were already informed, GrapheneOS has proper alternatives natively implemented.

makes it sound like you're toeing the line with amoral criminality. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I'm getting.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very supportive of fighting against government overreach, but let's be careful with how we talk. No one wants GrapheneOS associated with criminal activity in the public's eye, it's not what it's made for.

Also, GrapheneOS can already do everything you're asking:

camera access while locked
auto-reboot timer
disable USB port

F-Droid is not recommended.

Enabling ADB is a massive security issue.

Shizuku is a massive security issue.

Rooting is a massive security issue.

You're looking for the auto reboot feature GrapheneOS has in the settings that puts the device into the BFU state after a chosen delay.

I know about all of the graphene features as I said in my post. This was for if all of that fails. But if this poses more of a risk then it solves, thank you for letting me know!

Strongly disagree about FDroid though. Agree to disagree there. But I'll pull the plug on this project. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
