If F-Droid is also an option for the download and older graphics are not a problem maybe look at this:
Freedoom
Doom engine source port bundled with Freedoom 1 & 2
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.nullsum.freedoom
(when I remember correct you can also play it via an controller)
Also a good solution in my opinion is to play old console games via emulator.
(You have to use ROMs of the games you want to play that you open via the emulator. You can either download them or if you have time to kill or worry about copyright (depends on where you live) you could create backup-ROMs from your old original games.
For most fun preferably play while gaming use a controller. I own multiple bluetooth and cable controllers. 8Bitdo has good ones for example, they are great to play either on your phone, pc, or on an actual old or new gaming console when you got an adapter to connect it to it. (I have no affiliation what so ever with these companys)
A good emulator for multiple gaming systems is this one:
Lemuroid
All in one emulator on Android
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.swordfish.lemuroid/
I hope I could help you. And you have fun while offine gaming at work or wherever you like.
Peace
