Total Failure - Google Pixel Pro 6 with GrapheneOS

Dear Developers,

I would like to ask and/or inform you about a total
Failure of my Google Pixel 6 Pro device.

I brought my smartphone to a repair shop for mobile phones and according to my understanding the technician told me that he checked the Power Management IC and the battery. Both were working as expected (Voltage Control is working properly). According to my understanding the latest update might be the issue.

Device: Google Pixel 6 Pro
Date of the Total Failure: December 17th, 2025 or
December 18th, 2025
Description of Behaviour:
When the device tries to boot up the alternative OS windows is displayed (With corresponding Hash Value). After that the Google logo is displayed. After that the GrapheneOS logo is displayed and directly after that an empty battery logo and the Smartphone tries a warm reset and boot again.
During this process I have to have the Smartphone connected to the Power Supply. Orherwise it would not even start to boot.

I cannot judge if the guy in the repair shop is right, but I'm hoping if you could provide your judgement.
I have not received any protocol of what has been checked. Therefore, I could just provide the receipt of that company.

Did you ever successfully boot into the OS? If so, did you change the USB settings?

Are you able to boot into the bootloader?

Have you tried charging your phone for a few hours on a charger you can check is working?

At this point, have you tried pressing the power button to pause the boot process? Let it charge a while then un-pause.

Hi Vincent,

yes I did. I used GrapheneOS successfully for three or four years.

Yes I'm able to boot to the bootloader. But the bootloader does not jump to any OS. Instead, the Smartphone proceeds with a warm reset meaning the uC obviously starts again from its start address.

Yes I also tried that out. However, I always get the empty batter symbol displayed just before the warm reset.

RobertEIF89 Probably9857 this sounds like a good idea.

After trying this, try booting into the bootloader like this: https://grapheneos.org/install/web#booting-into-the-bootloader-interface then power off after reading what it says.

first of all I'm very sorry I could just try your recommendation out right now.

And it worked!!! - I can boot the Operating System Graphene OS again and I have access
to all functions again.

I would like to thank you really much for the quality and quick support.
