SMS OTP automatic reading not working

In India now its mandate to have all banking apps device binding. To implement this banks releasing apps registration with SMS OTP automatic reading only.
I'm using pixel9 , have tried all possible settings but I could not enable this feature and now facing issues with logging in issue to banking apps
Requesting experts please help me to enable this at lease in owner profile. I want to avoid login into google account here.

Gajananvk I am not an expert on this, but I suspect some apps may be trying to use Google Play to read the SMS message.

Does the banking app in question have the SMS permission (if requested)? Does Google Play have the permission?

Gajananvk the latest GOS update mentions "fix an issue in our infrastructure for spoofing permission self-checks breaking automatically reading SMS one-time codes for certain apps", should arrive soon, dunno if relevant

Banking apps given all permissions, play store and play services also given SMS permissions but no success

I have installed 2026011301 but still problem persist
One thing that I would like to mention here, in secondary profile where google login present there SMS automatic reading works, this information may help you to solve the problem.
Banking apps detect the profile and closes as profile have to be primary for them to work.
