New to Graphene OS

I did it. Have Pixel 9pro.activated. I probably like several people who have low threat concerns but appreciate the ability to choose level of control even on Google apps.
Getting my Widex hearing aid app. I use for tinnitus was my adventure. Did download Google play services and store . No permissions at all . Widex app works. Selected several recommended apps. Thanks.
I opted to keep Iron Fox with Duckduckgo no ai. Using yahoo on Vanadium.

Thank you. Generally very happy. I have low threat level. Wanted options to control apps. I'm not social media so don't use those apps. No banking on device so no issue there. Solved my hearing aids app ( hod that makes me sound old) with sandboxed play and Google services downloaded and no permissions. I tested apps on my Samsung to match up Samsung apps I liked. So comperable quality.

I put GrapheneOS on a Pixel 9a for my wife. She has Widex hearing aids. I installed the Widex Moment app from the Playstore. I cannot get the hearing aids to bluetooth pair, using either the Widex app or via bluetooth connect in settings.
Her hearing aids work fine, she just can't change any settings with the app. She is still able to change the settings using her old iPhone. I have tried the workaround solutions listed in the pinned message (8330-app-compatibility-with-grapheneos). No joy. Since you got this to work, any suggestions for me?

n8powr Does the app have the bluetooth permission? (I think it's "Nearby devices" permission), I'm pretty sure it's just a missing permission. (Note I have never used these devices or their companion app, so I'm assuming it's a missing permission)

Try unpairing from the iphone and then pairing with the pixel.

I tried the suggestions given. Nothing seems to work. I don't think GrapheneOS or even android is at fault. A web search will show that others have similar difficulty getting the android Widex app to work. Multiple folks on Reddit suggest just use an iphone, rather than android. Since the hearing aids pair fine and work fine with the iphone Widex app, we went back to her iphone. Perhaps there is something about the iphone hardware that just works better with hearing aids.
