I have a new Pixel 8 pro and the OEM unlocking is greyed out, the seller claims it was factory/carrier unlocked .

I have it developer mode no problem, when I go to system/developer options the OEM locking is greyed out .

What have I done wrong? BTW I have installed GOS on 6a/7pro with no problems.
I have a small window of time to return it or find out what I'm doing wrong

Did you get anywhere with your problem yet? I had a moment of panic when I experienced the same thing with my latest install. However, I restarted my device and the OEM Unlocking became available after that.

Yes I did connect (WiFi)

SB06 Google's warranty tool may reveal whether the device was sold as locked.

Meanwhile, if there is a narrow return window then returning it might be prudent.
