Regression in Android Auto? Apps stopped working over Bluetooth.

I like connecting to my car with Bluetooth since this gives me easy controls of apps with the steering wheel buttons. Now I've noticed that 2 of them no longer appear on the dashboard. Apps in question: Anthena Pod and PipePipe. I see some text Android Open Source Music instead. Selecting this does nothing. These were working before, they still work through the USB connection from the Android Auto icon but it requires using touch screen. My other apps still can be controlled. Anyone have this issue?

Byku I haven't had that one, but I've encountered a similar one: sometimes I've connected to Android Auto and all media apps disappear, only dialer apps are visible and functional. So I disconnect and reconnect and it works normally again.

I have experienced what seems to be the same or similar issue. Any map app I use in android auto shows up black and if selected directly on the car will crash android auto. However, using other apps, like Pandora work just fine. It appears any mapping app that has a dynamic map just turns black and crashes when selected. I use magic earth, and onX typically.

This only happens when using wireless android auto, but works fine when plugged in USB.

Started happening in the last several weeks, and is certainly frustrating.

After trying all the common solutions like cleaning user data etc. tha fault seems to be in Android Auto itself. I guess there is no way to fall back to a previous version to check this out right?

I just cleared android auto cache and data, turned wireless off, then connected USB. I then turned on wireless option and disconnected from USB and seems to be working now.

Will that continue to work? No idea, but it worked after all of that.
