Scenario tested:
Multiple user-profiles each with Play Store installed under a different Google account.
Waze is installed in only one of these user-profiles.
Observation 1:
When switching to the user-profile which has Waze installed, traffic is generated to various Waze domains such as,
www.waze.com
www.gcp.wazestg.com
Observation 2:
When switching to any other user-profile (where Waze is not installed), traffic is still generated to the same Waze domains.
Observation 3:
Installing Waze into a Private Space within a user-profile (instead of directly in the user-profile) results in the same observations above.
Observation 4:
Uninstalling Waze results in no traffic.
Conclusion:
The expectation is that observation 2 shall not occur and that Waze-related traffic shall only occur when the user-profile in which it is installed is activated. The installation of Waze breaks the expected isolation between user-profiles. Is there an explanation of this phenomenon? Is the expectation correct?
