Is Health Connect able to track steps in GrapheneOS.

It should be able to natively as a result of the QPR2 update but it does not seem to be working. Health Connect has the sensors permission.

Just a wild guess, but perhaps GMS needs sensor permissions for this to work? I haven't had a chance yet to test.

There is a coaching app on my phone, that reads activity data (steps) from google health connect or ist least trying to..

I understand that this should work on my profile without Google Sandbox because health connect api is part of the base AOSP / GrapheneOS right?

I've tried some step counting apps from f-droid that hav. "activity" permission, but the data doesn't reach the coaching app via health connect: It always raeds zero.

I think all permissions are set correctly after checking several times...

Am i missing something?
