Best calculator app?

I'd like lots of features and foss would be nice but not mandatory. Something with easy unit conversion would be nice as well.

Micro mathematics plus is a very powerful foss calculator with support for unit conversion. I suggest you download it for free through obtainium rather than buying it from the play store (it's also freely available on f-droid).

Desmos, desmos geometry and 3d desmos (all available from the first site) are excellent. There are no unit conversions, but it's quite powerful; people have made some insane things through desmos.

There is also geogebra calculator suite: https://www.geogebra.org/download#AppsMoreInfo, which has quite a few features, though I generally prefer Desmos.

mar2112 WestQuester RandByte Yeah, once you've gotten used to RPN, there is no going back. I get confused with "normal" calculators. I've been using RealCalc forever, becaues it reminds me a bit of my HP 15C (still works great with batteries that are at least twenty years old!). But 48sx and Free42 look great also. There are a lot emulator apps, for the classic HP calculators, out there.

calpurtmun I recently switched to Unitto from opencalc. It feels way more premium and has better customizability. Opencalc also refused to let my screen turn off even after telling it to, which was a very annoying bug. I cut network access to it and everything (minus up to date currency conversions) still work just fine.

The calculator in GrapheneOS, outdated it may be, but when you struggle with mental maths at a checkout etc, the simple calculator on your phone in your pocket is the best calculator app

This is a dangerous bug in their app, inhereted from upstream Simplemobiletools, a bug first reported in 2017.

Uno Calculator for me. This is the Windows calculator with Scientific, Programmer and Conversion built in. The reviews aren't in it's favour on the Play Store, but I've never had an issue with it. I am ex Windows Phone before moving to GOS, so I do miss some of the design language from that era.

I'm currently using yetCalc. It's a decent app with Material You support and covers my calculator needs. I use a proper scientific calculator or a graphing calculator (Desmos or Geogebra depending on my particular needs) for more complicated calculations.

25+50% = 25.5 does not qualify as a proper calculator in my book :-)
