juliedeville no, this is a limitation of carriers' implementation of MMS. I could be wrong, but RCS between iPhone & Android may resolve the media file size limit being so low. However, RCS working on GOS seems to be hit or miss.
Many here have had success using bluebubbles/openbubbles. But I haven't invested much effort into these solutions.
I switched fully to Signal a while back. If people want to be able to communicate with me, they set up the app and that's how we talk. If they aren't willing to, I don't blame them at all, but accept that we'll have limited communications.
