Battery life on different Google Pixel devices

Based on your experience with these phones, I would like to know which Google Pixel model has the longest battery life.

Google Pixel 8 Pro
Google Pixel 9 Pro
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
Google Pixel 10 Pro
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL

These are the ones I've seen people mention in various forums and on YouTube as having the longest battery life, but some say that the battery lasts longer on the Google Pixel 8 Pro than on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. And some say that the battery lasts longer on the Google Pixel 9 Pro than on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. They also say that the battery lasts longer on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL than on the Google Pixel 10 Pro or Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.

So I would like to hear your opinions, as they will help me choose which phone to buy.

Graphner Itll probably be worth to look at the smallest screen with LTPO and the biggest battery.

My Pixel 10 Pro with GOS gets noticeably better battery life than my Pixel 7 Pro with GOS.ever did.

I have no concrete evidence to support why, but I suspect two things:

P10P G5 SOC is made by TSMC instead of P7P G2 SOC made by Samsung Exynos

Cellular radio in P10P, while still made by Samsung is 5400 instead of 5300G in Pixel7Pro.

The battery in the Pixel 10 Pro is slightly smaller, but I definitely get longer battery life, and more "bars" with my cellular connections in multiple countries -- especially in locations with weak cellular signal.

I have been buying the newest smartphone every 3-4 years for the past 20 years: first iPhones, and then Pixel 7 Pro, and then Pixel 10 Pro.

The Pixel 10 Pro is one of my favorite pieces of hardware I have owned in that time, and will still be supported by GOS until 2032.

If you have the money for it, I recommend.

The 10's will probably ultimately have the better battery life on account of being TSMC chips instead of power draining samsuck.

Trying to get a reasonable estimate of battery life by watching youtube videos is a waste of time. Way too subjective. One of the problems is that different devices will be more or less efficient for specific workloads. In other words, WHAT YOU USE YOUR PHONE FOR. Phone A could have better battery life than Phone B for YOUR workload, but for MY workload, it could be Phone B.

It is a huge annoyance to me that they continue to put in tiny batteries despite how far out the camera hump sticks. They could easily make a flat back and fill in the space with an extra large battery. The phone would be stronger, the battery would last days longer, and it makes a better self defense weapon with a little bit of heft. Is anybody such a weakling that it would make a difference if its 50% heavier?

secrec I personally am fine with the camera bumps, it lets the rest of the phone body be thinner.

For what its worth, my 8a and 6a are identical in that they run GrapheneOS and the same single app.
The 8a drains quicker than the 6a. I have run them side by side for weeks.

DeletedUser550 Undoubtedly, the best way to compare battery life is to test the same apps. The closest thing I've found in some YouTube videos are those where they leave a couple of Pixel devices on, for example the 10 Pro and the 9 Pro, and after several hours the first to turn off was the 10.

On several sites, such as Reddit and other forums I've seen, people say that the performance of the new chip is worse, which is a common comment, to my surprise. In general, people say that Pixel batteries don't last very long, but right now it's the only way we have to use GOS. Based on everything I've seen online so far, I would say that this is the ranking in terms of battery life. From highest to lowest:

Google Pixel 8 Pro
Google Pixel 9 Pro
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
Google Pixel 10 Pro / XL

I was surprised to read that the previous models had better battery life. That's why I wanted to hear your opinion.

xylight The point is that there is no NEED for it to be thinner. There's no benefit to it being thinner. Its just weaker.
