Wifi speed limit with my Pixel 7A

Hello,
High speed internet has been installed, my connected devices are running perfectly... Except my Graphene os' pixel 7A. I tried every setting but my internet connection ( WiFi 5) is limited to 20 Mbps. What can I do ?

Nothing for now. This is a known issue in AOSP. Will have to wait for Google to fix. Latest ~~estimate~~ speculation I have seen was January.

Google actually hasn't pushed QPR2 to the 7a yet due to this issue. GrapheneOS presumably judged it was more important to get the security patches out.

I suppose you could go back to the stock OS (still on QPR1) if this is a major problem for you.

Steps to Reproduce

Quick:

Connect Pixel 7a (running GrapheneOS 2025121701) to a known high‑speed Wi‑Fi network (tested ₂₃₀ Mbps on other devices).
Run a speed test (e.g., speedtest.net or fast.com).
Observe that download speed never exceeds ₂₀ Mbps. Connect another device (laptop or other phone) to the same SSID and repeat the speed test — result: ₂₃₀ Mbps.

Detail test to confirm it's not Android, network or another app issues, but GrapheneOS:

Revert Pixel 7a to factory stock Android 16 image.
Connect to the same Wi‑Fi network and repeat speed test — result: ₂₃₀ Mbps.
Reinstall GrapheneOS 2025121701 cleanly (no user profiles or VPNs).
Repeat speed test — result again limited to ₂₀ Mbps.

Yes, because the stock OS for Pixel 7a is still on QPR1. GrapheneOS is on QPR2.

Google delayed QPR2 for the 7a for precisely this reason. It is not a problem introduced by GrapheneOS.
