Edit contacts

How do I edit contacts?. I can't find the option

RRZishe is this the default GOS contacts application? Are you using it on local mode?

RRZishe What happened before that picture, starting from the launcher home screen? Which app was launched, then which actions were taken?

The head-shoulders-plus icon is an invitation to create a contact. Creating one might make it editable.

raccoondad ya, it's the one that comes with the os. And yes, all the contacts are local

What do you mean by "create a contact", aren't the contacts in my app already created?

I don't know whether or not I can help with answers to the questions I asked, but I'm pretty sure I can't help without.

I realize it may sound silly to report actions step by step, and whether or not to do that is up to you, but I am not optimistic about this getting solved unless a lot more information is provided.

I was using my sudo and someone I know texted me from a new number
I copy that number
I go to the home screen
I open the contacts app
I search for that contact
I want to edit but can't find the button
I'm trying to think of more details that can help but I can't think of any

RRZishe I don't use MySudo, but I can't help wondering whether copying the number might not be copying more than just the number. Perhaps MySudo is helpfully creating a contact object? What happens if you hit the head-shoulders-plus icon?

de0u actually, when I click on the head and shoulders icon, an edit icon shows up!

Though I'm really not sure why it does this, I hope it's not something bad or anything like that

Some shots in the dark:

Do you store contacts on your device or maybe (accidentally) somewhere else (open Contact App settings> Accounts and Default Account for new contacts to find out)?

Did you maybe (accidentally) revoke permissions to app(s) involved in managing your contacts?
