It used to be, when I connect my phone to my car, I could press 'browse' under bluetooth device in the car infotainment, and see a listing of media apps on the phone. Selecting an app would show whatever that app exposes as a media library. I've used it at least with Tidal, Newpipe and AntennaPod.
Recently that stopped working, and now the only app that's listed is Android Open Source music player (I have no actual app with that name, just the 'empty' system app), with an empty library.
It could be a system update on the phone or the car, or it could be some settings I've changed. I doubt it's the car (because of the listed AOSP music player), although the car did get an update recently.
I've looked through Graphene release notes. Nothing obvious pops out, but then I don't really know what to look for.
I've tried fiddling with settings, specifically bluetooth, permissions, exploit protections (the only thing I know I changed recently) with no success. I also tried enabling deleoper mode and changing AVRCP version and a few other bluetooth settings with no success (reverted those changes, disabled developer mode and rebooted).
Any ideas as to what might be the cause? And how I might get the functionality back?
I'm on the stable release channel, build 2025121701.
