So sorry to hear this. Just to clarify, carrier unlocked and OEM unlocked are not the same thing. If the phone was purchased second hand, the previous owner may have purchased it directly from a wireless provider. After their contract period was up, they then requested it to be carrier unlocked. However, this has nothing to do with it being OEM unlocked. I'm not sure why waiting 24-72 hours would impact the OEM unlock function, so others can advise on that.
