LibreTube stays in background even app is closed

After swiping up to close LibreTube app, it stays in background with along with GmsCompat. This happens everytime when I use it as a background audio player for YouTube videos. New pipe and my podcast/music app that I also use as background audio player don't do this. Is this a bug?

looks like a on-going bug that they wont fix haha.

As a workaround, maybe turn off background usage under app battery usage in the app's settings

BeepBeep the it stops playing not long after when screen is locked.

I'm not fond of Libretube. It has always been unreliable at best, in my experience.

pizzadequeso well, this could be a little inconvenient, but you could allow background usage when you use it, and disallow background usage when your not using it
