Problems since last update. Pixel tablet

no destop mode. The bar on top of a window disappeared.
Blank home screen. All my apps were on a second one, i didn't have before.
Costum (i piked a non default on) messaging sound changed to the stock one.

I hope this can be fixed. I was using the destop window mode alot.

On the positive side, the 80% charging limit functions again. On the tablet and 6a.
This feature was not working for a about 2-3 months.

I believe I have read that dragging the icons to the blank old screen will blank the new one and it will go away.

You can bring it back by toggling "Enable desktop experience features" on in Developer Options. (However, using Developer Options is generally not recommended.)

Can't speak to my experience as I've I toggled anything differently. I am still on 20151212 too. I will say that my charging optimization is working on the tablet and failing on my phone as well.

As for desktop mode functionality, mines is (still) there w/o touching the Developer Mode flag.

One quirk/feature I realized is that I can toggle desktop mode via the Overview tab (swiping up to show all open apps). I find it easier/more logical to enter Desktop mode this way. Also, if you select a currently running app, it will launch that version into desktop mode fwiw
