In terms of top-line "features", these come to mind (though I may well be forgetting some):

Duress PIN (as pointed out by naibed)
Biometric 2FA
Call recording (code submitted by a community member)
Some VPN leaks reported by @ryrona
VoLTE/VoNR forcing

But there also lots of bugs fixed, and minor feature updates. For example, I believe the PDF Viewer has better zooming support recently after many user requests.

How is that important or representative?

There are plenty of dumb irrelevant requests to make gos funnier ios-like, etc.
Much less is relevant to GOS idea, and even smaller amount marches available resources.

My uneducated guess is features are almost never added, while security features are added if the idea is novel and/or universally helpful such as:

The main exception that comes to mind is the work on getting RCS to work but I suppose that's tangentially security-related since RCS > SMS. Also though, the thread has 100x more activity than almost every other thread on the site
