I'm not installing GrapheneOS right now, but I had a question anyway for the future when I get my next device, regarding Disabling OEM Unlocking. I watched this video from Side of Burritos (yes, I realise its an old video, and I also don't need to watch a video at all to install GOS, I just like watching people install it, Lol)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAZlmYKrwfk
and he disabled OEM Unlocking in Dev options after install. But now on the website, it says that theres a checkbox to do it.
During first setup, the final screen will contain a toggle regarding OEM unlocking which is checked by default. This will disable OEM unlocking, which is recommended.
So its been a while since I've done this, so do you disable OEM unlocking in Dev options, or is it easier now with a checkbox?
Other Question regarding Disabling OEM Unlocking (This question NOT applicable if you disable OEM unlocking by checkbox!)
If I disable OEM Unlocking by dev options (Like the way Side of Burritos did) but I want to restore a Seedvault backup, would it be better to;
Skip restore from backup, disable OEM Unlocking reboot device and factory reset it, then restore from backup, OR;
Restore from backup, and then proceed to disable OEM unlocking after?
Thanks, and sorry if its a stupid question. It does look like things have changed since the Side of Burritos video on the website regarding how to Disable OEM Unlocking, but I just wanted to get this question cleared up for my next install, whenever that is, in case I attempt a Seedvault restore. :)
