Help with contact/contact scopes and VPN users

Want 2 separate contacts list one for WhatsApp and one for telegram. Want them both separate and not to be in the same folder at anytime.
I've added my contacts through a vcf and they've all gone on to my contacts app. I now want to transfer another vcf that contains my telegram contacts but they will all merge into the same contacts list.
Can I prevent this?
Can I have it so that if I save a contact it goes to one select directory.
Also how do I select multiple contacts at once.

If I use a VPN on main profile and switch to secondary profile that has the same VPN account app installed will I stay connected?

No. Each profile has a separate VPN instance, with its own config & tunnel.

You could setup the second profile with its own always-on VPN that starts when the profile is started. But it can't use the same connection as the owner.

You can import the contacts, label each list with Whatsapp or Telegram. Then use Scoped Contacts for both apps, and allow only its tag (Whatsapp can use Whatsapp label). Everytime you add a new contact you can add it the tag and will be accessible from the correct app.
