sms notifications on Fossify Messenger

hi all, does anyone else have difficulty seeing notifications using Fossify Messenger? I can send and receive messages (SMS/MMS) but notifications won't show up when new messenges come in, nor will my phone ring or vibrate. I have to manually check message threads to see my new messages. Once I check one thread, other threads with new messages update as well. Has anyone else had this or similar experiences, or advice to offer? I like Fossify Messenger's interface better than the stock app, but it's frustrating not to get notifications.

Technically it's possible. Define it as your default SMS app, allow unrestricted battery. People do that when
they need RCS in USA and using Google Messages. Same thing applies.

23Sha-ger Thanks for the suggestion. I did have those settings on, but it still wouldn't display notification.

As a followup, I'm on a Pixel 8 using the Fossify Messenger app in a secondary user profile.

I'm also very curious about this. I have Fossify Messenger set as my default SMS application in owner, but don't get the SMS alerts in any of the user profiles either. Manual refresh is needed

I also notice that auto correct doesn't work on Fossify Messenger but does in other apps. Wondering if this is a "feature". I'm using Futo Keyboard by the way.
