Pixel 10 Pro 1TB OS Storage Size

Hi everyone, new here and new to GOS. I recently picked up a P10P 1TB and flashed GOS on it. So far, loving it - works with my banking apps, love the extra profiles, and while I'm not fully de-googled I appreciate having levers to control how much data I'm projecting out.

Question about OS install size - I saw on reddit someone asked about the vast OS storage reservation for P10P 1TB - a few folks over there report 63GB Android & 57GB of temp files. I looked at my storage and found the same numbers. Is that expected? Should I re-install?

A larger SSD has a larger amount of storage reserved as spare space. This is included in Android's calculation since it uses the advertised SSD size as the base for the calculation. You're misreading the storage stats. It's showing you more than the size of the OS. It includes all of the SSD spare space and filesystem overhead.

There's no reason to do that, [...]. It's not going to reduce the overhead of the spare SSD space and filesystem overhead which scales to the SSD size. It's not going to make the OS or various caches it generates smaller. If there's more space, there's more caching too until space starts to run out and it gets cleared.
