Just installed GrapheneOS on a Pixel 8a
Downloaded latest release from website and flashed it manually, all went absolutely fine
3 minor issues
- not rebooting to bootloader on its own
- no info that "skipping write because of sparse image" is a bug in the output and working as intended
- script does not use its own execution path but relies on user working directory, small issue with an easy fix I suppose
The postinstall is really smooth, apart from it not offering to lock the bootloader, so you need to manually reboot, lock manually with fastboot and relock.
It is good to check if the OS works before locking (even though the check when locking might take care of that), but a button in the install screen to reboot to bootloader at least would be cool (instead of just a warning, though you have your own short url which is cool)
I also like "lock the bootloader" button in the installer, very nice
Then after the install, it was already verifying an update and prompted me to reboot? Was this the initial install, or actually a new update?
